Questions firms ask

What counts as an active case?
Any case you haven't archived. When a case is finished, archive it: it stops counting toward your plan, and the client can still check it with their code.
Which plan do we need?
Pick by how many active cases you carry: Solo up to 50, Practice up to 150, Firm up to 300. All three are for firms that enter cases in Gides themselves or upload a spreadsheet, and include the same features. Integrated connects your case system (Neos today; Filevine, Clio and others on request), so client pages, codes and alerts update by themselves, with a nightly report for your office. Integrated has custom pricing, per case, agreed with your firm: tell us about your firm and we'll send a quote.
What if we go over our plan's limit?
We warn you at 90%. Archive finished cases to make room, or move up a plan - you can let Gides move you up automatically so no case is ever held back. Above 300 active cases, talk to us about Integrated, which is priced per case.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
Not for Solo, Practice or Firm. They're month to month with no setup fee. Cancel from your billing page whenever you like, and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for. Our first firms also get a free setup session with us.
Can we try Gides first?
Yes. Use code FREEMONTH at checkout and your first month is free on Solo, Practice or Firm. Stripe takes your card when you sign up and the first charge is one month later; cancel before then and you pay nothing.
What if it isn't right for us?
Solo, Practice and Firm come with a 30-day guarantee: if you cancel within 30 days of your first payment and haven't yet sent access codes to most of your clients, we refund that first month. One refund per firm. Full details are in our Terms.
Do our clients pay anything?
No. Clients use the private code you give them. There's no app to download and no account to create; it works in the browser on their phone.
Who sets up our branding?
It's automatic: give us your website when you sign up and we put your logo and colours on your clients' pages. You can change them any time in Settings, Branding.
How do we pay?
By card, billed monthly. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
